Robert H. Scrivens Jr.
11/20/2008 12/20/2008 Washington Township NJ WASHINGTON TWP. -- Robert H. Scrivens Jr. of Long Valley, born July 2, 1947, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008. He was 61. He was president of National Valuation Services Inc. of Florham Park, and a charter member and president of the State of NJ Real Estate Appraiser Board. Robert was a member of the NJ Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court, and State Regulator Advisory Group of the Appraisal Foundation. He was recipient of the Metro NJ Chapter Appraisal Institute NJ Public Service Award and the Mike Damato Award. Robert connected with and made a lasting positive impression on everyone he met in his personal and professional life. Son of the late Robert and June Scrivens of North Plainfield, N.J., he is survived by his wife, Flora Scrivens; his children, Sheri Ribnicky, Suzette Dilzer and Robert Scrivens III; and his grandchildren, Samantha Slevens, Olivia, Amelia and Ella Ribnicky, all of Long Valley. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Scrivens of Scotch Plains. His fun-loving attitude and caring ways will make him sorely missed. Visitation will be held at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Route 206), Chester, N.J. on Friday, Nov. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. and the interment will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, N.J .
